Alex and Jenna's Beautiful Coral Gables Wedding

We were honored to photograph two amazing, passionate, smart and beautiful women celebrating their marriage last weekend. Surrounded by their families in Coral Gables, Alex and Jenna tied the knot with a stunning ceremony and reception at the Coral Gables Country Club. Every detail was well considered, and the women looked stunning in their gowns, but what touched us was the open, honest passion displayed as these two families embraced each other and this marriage. From Alex and Jenna's touching vows to toasts by parents, siblings, and friends, the emotion of the day swayed us.

We wish them all the happiness in the world as they continue their journey together.

Twilight NYE Wedding with Vollyball, a Hoverboard, and Fun

It's not too often that a couple breaks out a volleyball during their first dance, but this destination wedding featured two passionate volleyball players and coaches, so it was more than fitting that Margot and Kevin warmed up for their reception with a little pepper.

This energetic couple from Louisiana got married among close family and friends at a gorgeous waterside Ft. Lauderdale home, with the ceremony kicking in just as dusk set in. The stunning decor featuring rustic tables, trees wrapped in lights, and the Ft. Lauderdale skyline in the distance, all came together to make a New Year's Eve wedding party for the ages. We wish them all the best!

Picture-Perfect Abacoa Wedding | Jupiter Wedding

We got to know Ashley and Garrett exactly a year ago when we photographed their engagement session at the FAU campus in Boca Raton, where they first met. Tender, funny, relaxed and so much in love then and more so last weekend at their stunning wedding at the Abacoa Golf Club in Jupiter.

Everyone was so much fun, and we had an absolute blast capturing their wedding. Special thanks to the other vendors who made their day amazing:

Football, Shooter McGavin, and the Hilton Singer Island Wedding

Brittany and Joe came back to Florida from their Ohio home for their wedding at Brittany's home church, Holy Name of Jesus Church in West Palm Beach with the reception at the Singer Island Hilton. They couldn't have asked for better weather, with the cool ocean breeze drifting into the reception tent at the Hilton.

And whether it was Joe and his buddies clowning around like Shooter McGavin or the outburst of O-H-I-O chants or the FSU tomahawk move, everyone had an amazing day. We wish Brittany and Joe great love and happiness!

Vero Beach Wedding at Costa d'Este Resort

Vero Beach Wedding at Costa d'Este Resort

Last weekend we had the privilege of photographing the Vero Beach wedding of Ivy and Jerry, a stunning couple from Orlando. They were married once before (#ortizweddingidotake2 was their Instagram hashtag) and, as their best man, Ray, said, "it's a beautiful story."

At the stunning Costa d'Este Resort in Vero Beach, another chapter in that story played out. They re-tied the knot surrounded by family and friends, survived a typical Florida good-luck rain shower just as the beachside wedding ceremony was ending, and danced the night away.

Special thanks to all the  other vendors who helped make the day great!

Your wedding isn't a photoshoot!

That's right, I'm a wedding photographer who believes your wedding isn't supposed to be about endless hours posing for the camera. Sometimes, do I wish it was? Of course. I would love to have the time to carefully set up lights, wait for the right moment, and get you and your partner to pose perfectly on the steps of a grand castle. Every now and then, I even get to make that photograph.

But your wedding, whether in Jupiter or Miami or somewhere in-between, is just that: Yours! It's an important day not because I'm there taking photographs, but because you're there with your partner, your friends, and your family to celebrate a momentous occasion. And we're hired to help you have an amazing time.

At Steve Daubs Studios, our first goal is to make you happy. We do that in a variety of ways, the most important of which is capturing the day beautifully and smoothly. But we also have super glue on hand, which came in handy the day the father of the bride's rental shoe separated from its sole. We have Advil and Band-Aids and wardrobe tape. We bring a needle and thread, which was pretty helpful in sewing in a bridesmaid whose zipper ripped minutes before the ceremony.

I have shown more than a few groomsmen how to tie their ties or put on their cufflinks, or what those little tuxedo studs were for. We don't mind; in fact, we think great customer service is integral to our business.

We still hustle around the venue capturing moments as they happen and we make sure to efficiently capture those still very important portraits that document who was there and what they were like. We also work hard in scheduling your day to make sure our couples also get some amazing, cool, and unusual creative portraits. We just don't take all day to do it, and even those moments we do our best to bring the fun and passion of the wedding itself to your mood and your images.

In the image above, we took about 15 minutes at the end of the reception to capture some dramatic images of our couple on a pier across the street from the the wedding at the Holy Trinity Episcipal Church in West Palm Beach. It was just a few minutes for a dozen beautiful sunset and dusk images that our bride and groom can be proud to hang on their wall. The rest of the day? The spent it enjoying each other, their families, and their friends. And we captured that, too!

Intimate Ft. Lauderdale Backyard Wedding

Sometimes we forget that the most important part of the wedding is simply spending it with the most important people in your life. Bryan and Val did just that yesterday in their beachfront Ft. Lauderdale wedding with only their closest friends and family, including their officiant!

And it couldn't have been more beautiful. We wish them all the happiness in the world!

What a stunning wedding this weekend! Shannon and Tim got married at the historic Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in downtown West Palm Beach on a sultry, humid day, but neither the hot weather or the threat of rain could put a damper on their amazing day.

Jason + Marie: Beautiful Wedding at the Addison

A few months ago, we had the pleasure of taking engagement photos for Jason and Marie. We met in Miami Beach, ate ice cream, walked along the beach where Jason proposed, and had a wonderful time. They were so sweet, as people and as a couple. So we knew their wedding would be both lovely and a ton of fun. We were not disappointed!

From the great people, to an epic toast by the father of the bride, to the amazing staff at The Addison taking care of every detail, this was truly spectacular. Thanks to Jason and Marie, and their wonderful family and friends, for allowing us to share the day with you!
